Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of USD 22,680.00 (€ 19,632.96) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by David Wilkie achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Spanish Girl in November 2003 with an auction result of GBP 363,650.00 (€ 522,024.96).
