The work The Spanish Girl by David Wilkie was auctioned at Christies in London in November 2003. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 350,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 363,650.00 (€ 522,024.96). With this result, The Spanish Girl is even the most expensive work of art by David Wilkie that we have observed at auctions so far.
