Auction result misses estimated price range
In August 2009 a collector was able to acquire the work Malaysian Standing Still, Nos. 24, 28, 34, 35, 45, 62, 68, 69, 95, 112, 114, 115 by Simryn Gill for AUD 9,600.00 (€ 5,644.03). This price was achieved in the auction Important Australian Art at Sothebys in Melbourne and was even below the estimate range of AUD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00 set by the auction house. Other works by Simryn Gill have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in August 2009 by the work Malaysian Forest Nos. 3, 4, 11 at AUD 15,600.00 (€ 9,171.55).

Im August 2009 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Malaysian Standing Still, Nos. 24, 28, 34, 35, 45, 62, 68, 69, 95, 112, 114, 115 von Simryn Gill für AUD 9.600,00 (€ 5.644,03) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Important Australian Art bei Sothebys in Melbourne erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von AUD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von Simryn Gill wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im August 2009 die Arbeit Malaysian Forest Nos. 3, 4, 11 mit AUD 15.600,00 (€ 9.171,55).
