Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work A Cowherdess In A Summer Landscape by Simon van den Berg was auctioned at Sothebys in Amsterdam in October 2006, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 3,500.00 – 4,500.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 3,360.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Simon van den Berg - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Herding the flock, which sold at auction in May 2011 for EUR 12,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit A Cowherdess In A Summer Landscape von Simon van den Berg im Oktober 2006 bei Sothebys in Amsterdam versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 3.500,00 – 4.500,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 3.360,00 den Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Simon van den Berg mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Herding the flock beobachtet, die im Mai 2011 für EUR 12.500,00 versteigert wurde.
