Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Watering The Cattle In A Vast Landscape by Simon van den Berg was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in April 2004. The price achieved of EUR 5,377.50 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Simon van den Berg - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Herding the flock, which sold at auction in May 2011 for EUR 12,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Watering The Cattle In A Vast Landscape von Simon van den Berg kam im April 2004 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 5.377,50 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Simon van den Berg mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Herding the flock beobachtet, die im Mai 2011 für EUR 12.500,00 versteigert wurde.
