Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2007 Sothebys in Olympia held the auction British & Continental Paintings, which included the work Goats And Chickens In A Yard by Simon van den Berg. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 900.00 (€ 1,324.70) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Simon van den Berg have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Herding the flock in May 2011 with an auction result of EUR 12,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2007 führte Sothebys in Olympia die Auktion British & Continental Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Goats And Chickens In A Yard von Simon van den Berg zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 900,00 (€ 1.324,70) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Simon van den Berg auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Herding the flock im Mai 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 12.500,00.
