Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Whitsun Spectators by Simon Palmer was sold in the 20th Century British Art auction at Christies in London in July 2010. The price achieved of GBP 4,375.00 (€ 5,260.44) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Simon Palmer have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Harvesting Snow in March 2017 with an auction result of GBP 21,250.00 (€ 24,902.90).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Whitsun Spectators von Simon Palmer wurde im Juli 2010 in der Auktion 20th Century British Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 4.375,00 (€ 5.260,44) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Simon Palmer auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Harvesting Snow im März 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 21.250,00 (€ 24.902,90).
