Artwork auctioned at six times the upper estimate price
The work Planting Snowdrops by Simon Palmer was worth GBP 18,750.00 (€ 24,137.47) to a buyer in December 2014. This price was achieved in the auction Modern British and Irish Art at Christies in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 3,000.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Simon Palmer; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Harvesting Snow sold at auction in March 2017 with the realized price of GBP 21,250.00 (€ 24,902.90).
