This artwork by Simon Palmer achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in July 2010. In the 20th Century British Art auction, the work Drawing across the Ocre sold for GBP 10,625.00 (€ 12,775.37) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 6,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Simon Palmer; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Harvesting Snow sold at auction in March 2017 with the realized price of GBP 21,250.00 (€ 24,902.90).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 77 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Simon Palmer erzielte im Juli 2010 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th Century British Art wurde die Arbeit Drawing across the Ocre für GBP 10.625,00 (€ 12.775,37) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 6.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Simon Palmer; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Harvesting Snow im März 2017 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 21.250,00 (€ 24.902,90).
