Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Fishing Boats In A Squall Off A Rocky Coastline by Simon de Vlieger was auctioned at Christies in London in December 2014. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 80,000.00 – 120,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 80,500.00 (€ 103,630.20) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Simon de Vlieger achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Dutch frigates exchanging salutes in a calm, with yachts, a rowing boat, a sloop carrying personnel, and fishermen on the shore in July 2011 with an auction result of GBP 1,553,250.00 (€ 1,782,586.75).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Fishing Boats In A Squall Off A Rocky Coastline von Simon de Vlieger kam im Dezember 2014 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 80.500,00 (€ 103.630,20) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Simon de Vlieger erzielen.
