Artwork auctioned at six times the upper estimate price
This work without title by Shilpa Gupta was worth GBP 24,500.00 (€ 31,165.07) to a buyer in May 2008. This price was achieved in the auction Indian Art at Sothebys in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 4,000.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Shilpa Gupta; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Someone Else: A Library of 35 Books Written Anonymously or Under Pseudonyms sold at auction in September 2016 with the realized price of USD 47,500.00 (€ 42,267.31).

Die Arbeit ohne Titel von Shilpa Gupta war einem Käufer im Mai 2008 GBP 24.500,00 (€ 31.165,07) wert.
