In October 2013 POLY in Hong Kong held the auction Chinese Contemporary Ink Paintings (I), which included the work Mother And Daughter by Shi Guoliang. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 253,000.00 (€ 24,008.39), 27% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Shi Guoliang have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Life In Countryside in April 2013 with an auction result of HKD 1,035,000.00 (€ 101,314.93).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 27 % übertroffen
Im Oktober 2013 führte POLY in Hong Kong die Auktion Chinese Contemporary Ink Paintings (I) durch, in der auch die Arbeit Mother And Daughter von Shi Guoliang zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 253.000,00 (€ 24.008,39) und damit 27% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Shi Guoliang auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Life In Countryside im April 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.035.000,00 (€ 101.314,93).
