Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2006 a collector was able to acquire the work Sitting in the Mountains by Shen Zongjing for HKD 48,000.00 (€ 4,654.85). This price was achieved in the auction Fine Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy at Christies in Hong Kong and was even below the estimate range of HKD 50,000.00 – 60,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Shen Zongjing achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Landscapes after Yuan Masters in November 2017 with an auction result of HKD 1,187,500.00 (€ 127,852.37).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November 2006 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Sitting in the Mountains von Shen Zongjing für HKD 48.000,00 (€ 4.654,85) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy bei Christies in Hong Kong erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 50.000,00 – 60.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Shen Zongjing erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Landscapes after Yuan Masters im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.187.500,00 (€ 127.852,37).
