The work Landscape by Shen Zongjing was sold in the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2018. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 118,750.00 (€ 13,371.43), 48% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Shen Zongjing have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Landscapes after Yuan Masters in November 2017 with an auction result of HKD 1,187,500.00 (€ 127,852.37).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 48 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Landscape von Shen Zongjing wurde im Oktober 2018 in der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 118.750,00 (€ 13.371,43) und damit 48% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Shen Zongjing auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Landscapes after Yuan Masters im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.187.500,00 (€ 127.852,37).
