Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2017 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Classical Chinese Paintings, which included the work Waterfall And Pine by Shen Zongjing. The price achieved of HKD 60,000.00 (€ 6,603.71) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Shen Zongjing achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Landscapes after Yuan Masters in November 2017 with an auction result of HKD 1,187,500.00 (€ 127,852.37).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2017 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Waterfall And Pine von Shen Zongjing zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 60.000,00 (€ 6.603,71) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 50.000,00 – 70.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Shen Zongjing erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Landscapes after Yuan Masters im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.187.500,00 (€ 127.852,37).
