Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Peach Blossom Land by Shen Zongjing was sold in the Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy auction at Christies in Hong Kong in December last year. The price achieved of HKD 352,800.00 (€ 42,277.96) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 300,000.00 – 400,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Shen Zongjing - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Landscapes after Yuan Masters, which sold at auction in November 2017 for HKD 1,187,500.00 (€ 127,852.37).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Peach Blossom Land von Shen Zongjing wurde im Dezember letzten Jahres in der Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 352.800,00 (€ 42.277,96) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 300.000,00 – 400.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Shen Zongjing mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Landscapes after Yuan Masters beobachtet, die im November 2017 für HKD 1.187.500,00 (€ 127.852,37) versteigert wurde.
