A top price for Shen Zongjing
This artwork by Shen Zongjing achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2017. In the Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy auction, the work Landscapes after Yuan Masters sold for HKD 1,187,500.00 (€ 127,852.37) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 480,000.00. This high result makes Landscapes after Yuan Masters the most expensive artwork by Shen Zongjing that we have observed at auctions so far.
