The work Pine Tree by Shen Zongjing was sold in the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2006. It achieved a price of HKD 132,000.00 (€ 13,258.63), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 65%. Admittedly, works by Shen Zongjing have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Landscapes after Yuan Masters in November 2017 with an auction result of HKD 1,187,500.00 (€ 127,852.37).

Die Arbeit Pine Tree von Shen Zongjing wurde im Mai 2006 in der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 132.000,00 (€ 13.258,63) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 65%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Shen Zongjing auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Landscapes after Yuan Masters im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.187.500,00 (€ 127.852,37).
