The work Planting Bamboo by Shen Zhou was worth HKD 16,900,000.00 (€ 1,846,401.03) to a buyer in May 2018. This price was achieved in the auction Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy at Christies in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 5,000,000.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Shen Zhou; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Calligraphy And Landscape Of 'Zhang Gong' Karst Cave sold at auction in November 2016 with the realized price of HKD 23,150,000.00 (€ 2,820,982.23).

Die Arbeit Planting Bamboo von Shen Zhou war einem Käufer im Mai 2018 HKD 16.900.000,00 (€ 1.846.401,03) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy bei Christies in Hong Kong erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 5.000.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Shen Zhou; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Calligraphy And Landscape Of 'Zhang Gong' Karst Cave im November 2016 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 23.150.000,00 (€ 2.820.982,23).
