Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2012 Sothebys in New York held the auction Fine Classical Chinese Paintings, which included the work Nineteen Poems On Falling Flowers; Calligraphy In Running Script by Shen Zhou. The price achieved of USD 80,500.00 (€ 60,371.98) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 70,000.00 – 90,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Shen Zhou achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calligraphy And Landscape Of 'Zhang Gong' Karst Cave in November 2016 with an auction result of HKD 23,150,000.00 (€ 2,820,982.23).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2012 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Nineteen Poems On Falling Flowers; Calligraphy In Running Script von Shen Zhou zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 80.500,00 (€ 60.371,98) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 70.000,00 – 90.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Shen Zhou erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Calligraphy And Landscape Of 'Zhang Gong' Karst Cave im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 23.150.000,00 (€ 2.820.982,23).
