Auction result misses estimated price range
In January 2021 a collector was able to acquire the work 12-C-001 by Shen Fan for HKD 44,100.00 (€ 4,688.01). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Art | Hong Kong at Sothebys in Hong Kong and was even below the estimate range of HKD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Shen Fan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work 1991-M-3 in April 2015 with an auction result of CNY 200,000.00 (€ 28,883.71).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Januar 2021 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit 12-C-001 von Shen Fan für HKD 44.100,00 (€ 4.688,01) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Art | Hong Kong bei Sothebys in Hong Kong erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 50.000,00 – 70.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Shen Fan auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit 1991-M-3 im April 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CNY 200.000,00 (€ 28.883,71).
