Sold at the lower estimate price
In April 2017 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Contemporary Asian Art, which included the work 00-P-15 by Shen Fan. The result of HKD 40,000.00 (€ 4,721.43) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Admittedly, works by Shen Fan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work 1991-M-3 in April 2015 with an auction result of CNY 200,000.00 (€ 28,883.71).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im April 2017 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Contemporary Asian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit 00-P-15 von Shen Fan zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von HKD 40.000,00 (€ 4.721,43) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Shen Fan auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit 1991-M-3 im April 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CNY 200.000,00 (€ 28.883,71).
