Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Delicate Secret by Sheila Hicks was auctioned at Christies in October 2021. The price achieved of GBP 25,000.00 (€ 29,618.25) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Sheila Hicks - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Soft Stone Fiber Sculpture Orange., which sold at auction in June this year for EUR 66,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Delicate Secret von Sheila Hicks kam im Oktober 2021 bei Christies zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 25.000,00 (€ 29.618,25) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Sheila Hicks mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Soft Stone Fiber Sculpture Orange. beobachtet, die im Juni diesen Jahres für EUR 66.000,00 versteigert wurde.
