Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2020 a collector was able to acquire the work Piedras suaves by Sheila Hicks for GBP 11,512.00 (€ 12,783.09). This price was achieved in the auction Post-War & Contemporary Art at Bonhams in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Sheila Hicks have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Soft Stone Fiber Sculpture Orange. in June this year with an auction result of EUR 66,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2020 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Piedras suaves von Sheila Hicks für GBP 11.512,00 (€ 12.783,09) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art bei Bonhams in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Sheila Hicks auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Soft Stone Fiber Sculpture Orange. im Juni diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 66.000,00.
