Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Various Cakes by Sharon Core was auctioned at Phillips in New York in May 2012. It achieved a price of USD 17,500.00 (€ 14,154.00), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 17%. Admittedly, works by Sharon Core have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Bakery Counter, 1962 in April 2016 with an auction result of USD 87,500.00 (€ 76,479.33).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Various Cakes von Sharon Core kam im Mai 2012 bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 17.500,00 (€ 14.154,00) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 17%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Sharon Core auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Bakery Counter, 1962 im April 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 87.500,00 (€ 76.479,33).
