Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Various Cakes by Sharon Core was sold in the Photographs auction at Phillips in New York in October last year. The price achieved of USD 17,640.00 (€ 17,757.20) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Admittedly, works by Sharon Core have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Bakery Counter, 1962 in April 2016 with an auction result of USD 87,500.00 (€ 76,479.33).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Various Cakes von Sharon Core wurde im Oktober letzten Jahres in der Auktion Photographs bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 17.640,00 (€ 17.757,20) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Sharon Core auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Bakery Counter, 1962 im April 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 87.500,00 (€ 76.479,33).
