Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2016 POLY in Hong Kong held the auction Chinese and Asian Modern and Contemporary Art, which included the work Hearth by Shang Yang. It changed hands for a price of HKD 2,596,000.00 (€ 292,478.28) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 1,800,000.00 – 2,600,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Shang Yang - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Dong Qichang'S Plan - 4 (Diptych), which sold at auction in October 2015 for HKD 5,480,000.00 (€ 640,210.11).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2016 führte POLY in Hong Kong die Auktion Chinese and Asian Modern and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Hearth von Shang Yang zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 2.596.000,00 (€ 292.478,28) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 1.800.000,00 – 2.600.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Shang Yang mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Dong Qichang'S Plan - 4 (Diptych) beobachtet, die im Oktober 2015 für HKD 5.480.000,00 (€ 640.210,11) versteigert wurde.
