Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Great Landscape With Sunshine - 1 by Shang Yang was sold in the Chinese and Asian Modern and Contemporary Art auction at POLY in Hong Kong in April 2016. It changed hands for a price of HKD 2,360,000.00 (€ 265,889.35) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 1,400,000.00 – 2,400,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Shang Yang - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Dong Qichang'S Plan - 4 (Diptych), which sold at auction in October 2015 for HKD 5,480,000.00 (€ 640,210.11).

Die Arbeit Great Landscape With Sunshine - 1 von Shang Yang wurde im April 2016 in der Auktion Chinese and Asian Modern and Contemporary Art bei POLY in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 2.360.000,00 (€ 265.889,35) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 1.400.000,00 – 2.400.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Shang Yang mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Dong Qichang'S Plan - 4 (Diptych) beobachtet, die im Oktober 2015 für HKD 5.480.000,00 (€ 640.210,11) versteigert wurde.
