This artwork by Shang Yang achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2013. In the Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) auction, the work E Landscape No. 2 sold for HKD 930,000.00 (€ 92,226.67) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 500,000.00. Admittedly, works by Shang Yang have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Dong Qichang'S Plan - 4 (Diptych) in October 2015 with an auction result of HKD 5,480,000.00 (€ 640,210.11).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 86 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Shang Yang erzielte im Mai 2013 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) wurde die Arbeit E Landscape No. 2 für HKD 930.000,00 (€ 92.226,67) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 500.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Shang Yang auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Dong Qichang'S Plan - 4 (Diptych) im Oktober 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 5.480.000,00 (€ 640.210,11).
