Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Petronilla (De La Serie Las Habaneras) by Servando Cabrera Moreno was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in November 2011. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 20,000.00 – 25,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 21,250.00 (€ 15,795.73) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Servando Cabrera Moreno - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Los ejemplos, which sold at auction in June 2007 for USD 66,000.00 (€ 48,816.57).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Petronilla (De La Serie Las Habaneras) von Servando Cabrera Moreno kam im November 2011 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 20.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 21.250,00 (€ 15.795,73) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Servando Cabrera Moreno mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Los ejemplos beobachtet, die im Juni 2007 für USD 66.000,00 (€ 48.816,57) versteigert wurde.
