Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2013 Christies in New York held the auction Latin American Art, which included the work Festejo by Servando Cabrera Moreno. It changed hands for a price of USD 18,750.00 (€ 14,436.40) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Servando Cabrera Moreno - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Los ejemplos, which sold at auction in June 2007 for USD 66,000.00 (€ 48,816.57).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2013 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Latin American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Festejo von Servando Cabrera Moreno zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 18.750,00 (€ 14.436,40) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Servando Cabrera Moreno mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Los ejemplos beobachtet, die im Juni 2007 für USD 66.000,00 (€ 48.816,57) versteigert wurde.
