Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Tre Elementi by Sérgio de Camargo was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in May 2020. The price achieved of USD 125,000.00 (€ 112,632.91) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sérgio de Camargo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (Relief No. 21/52) in November 2013 with an auction result of USD 2,165,000.00 (€ 1,591,209.76).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Tre Elementi von Sérgio de Camargo kam im Mai 2020 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 125.000,00 (€ 112.632,91) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 100.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sérgio de Camargo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled (Relief No. 21/52) im November 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.165.000,00 (€ 1.591.209,76).
