This artwork by Junichiro Sekino achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in London in September this year. In the Fine Japanese and Korean Art auction, the work Three Oversized Woodblock Prints sold for USD 2,176.00 (€ 2,055.93) - well above the upper estimate of USD 1,200.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Junichiro Sekino; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Yoshida Bungoro sold at auction in March 2001 with the realized price of USD 3,525.00 (€ 4,008.41).
