Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Junichiro Sekino could be acquired at Bonhams in New York in September 2021 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Fine Japanese and Korean Art, including the Crawford Collection of Surimono auction, the work Showa Era (1926-1989), 1950S changed hands for USD 892.00 (€ 770.49) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Admittedly, works by Junichiro Sekino have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Yoshida Bungoro in March 2001 with an auction result of USD 3,525.00 (€ 4,008.41).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Junichiro Sekino konnte im September 2021 bei Bonhams in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Fine Japanese and Korean Art, including the Crawford Collection of Surimono wechselte die Arbeit Showa Era (1926-1989), 1950S für USD 892,00 (€ 770,49) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Junichiro Sekino auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Yoshida Bungoro im März 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 3.525,00 (€ 4.008,41).
