The work Blue Rooftops by Junichiro Sekino was sold in the The Japanese Aesthetic auction at Christies in London in December 2013. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,125.00 (€ 1,353.20), 41% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Junichiro Sekino - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Yoshida Bungoro, which sold at auction in March 2001 for USD 3,525.00 (€ 4,008.41).

Die Arbeit Blue Rooftops von Junichiro Sekino wurde im Dezember 2013 in der Auktion The Japanese Aesthetic bei Christies in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.125,00 (€ 1.353,20) und damit 41% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Junichiro Sekino mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Yoshida Bungoro beobachtet, die im März 2001 für USD 3.525,00 (€ 4.008,41) versteigert wurde.
