Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Sedaghat Jabbari could be acquired at Christies in Dubai in October 2008 for an unexpectedly low price. In the International Modern and Contemporary Art auction, the work The Melody of the Rain changed hands for USD 80,500.00 (€ 63,475.79) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. Admittedly, works by Sedaghat Jabbari have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Divine Names in October 2007 with an auction result of USD 433,000.00 (€ 299,281.17).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Sedaghat Jabbari konnte im Oktober 2008 bei Christies in Dubai für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion International Modern and Contemporary Art wechselte die Arbeit The Melody of the Rain für USD 80.500,00 (€ 63.475,79) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 100.000,00 – 150.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Sedaghat Jabbari auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Divine Names im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 433.000,00 (€ 299.281,17).
