In October 2010 Christies in Dubai held the auction International Modern and Contemporary Art, which included the work Untitled (From The Phoenix Series) by Sedaghat Jabbari. The »bidding war« ended at USD 80,500.00 (€ 57,938.68), 34% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Sedaghat Jabbari have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Divine Names in October 2007 with an auction result of USD 433,000.00 (€ 299,281.17).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 34 % übertroffen
Im Oktober 2010 führte Christies in Dubai die Auktion International Modern and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (From The Phoenix Series) von Sedaghat Jabbari zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 80.500,00 (€ 57.938,68) und damit 34% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Sedaghat Jabbari auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Divine Names im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 433.000,00 (€ 299.281,17).
