Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2016 Phillips in New York held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, which included the work October Second by Sean Landers. The price achieved of USD 17,500.00 (€ 15,716.21) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sean Landers achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Genius in May 2007 with an auction result of USD 360,000.00 (€ 267,598.31).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2016 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit October Second von Sean Landers zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 17.500,00 (€ 15.716,21) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sean Landers erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Genius im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 360.000,00 (€ 267.598,31).
