Auction result misses estimated price range
When this work without title by Scott Reeder was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in July 2019, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 875.00 (€ 786.16). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Scott Reeder achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (Pasta Painting) in September 2014 with an auction result of USD 25,000.00 (€ 19,797.28).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Scott Reeder im Juli 2019 bei Sothebys in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 875,00 (€ 786,16) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Scott Reeder erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled (Pasta Painting) im September 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 25.000,00 (€ 19.797,28).
