Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Scott Reeder could be acquired at Phillips in an online auction in July 2019 for an unexpectedly low price. In the HEATWAVE: Online Auction auction, the work Smoking Flower (Blue Room) changed hands for GBP 938.00 (€ 1,029.86) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 1,000.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Scott Reeder achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (Pasta Painting) in September 2014 with an auction result of USD 25,000.00 (€ 19,797.28).
