Auction result well in line with expectations
In February 2017 Phillips in New York held the auction New Now, which included the work All That Glitters is Not Gold by Scott Campbell. The price achieved of USD 10,625.00 (€ 10,006.59) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Scott Campbell - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Cloth Skull Cube, which sold at auction in July 2015 for GBP 17,500.00 (€ 24,809.12).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Februar 2017 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion New Now durch, in der auch die Arbeit All That Glitters is Not Gold von Scott Campbell zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 10.625,00 (€ 10.006,59) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Scott Campbell mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Cloth Skull Cube beobachtet, die im Juli 2015 für GBP 17.500,00 (€ 24.809,12) versteigert wurde.
