This work without title by Syed Haider Raza was sold in the South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art Online auction at Christies in New York in March last year. The »bidding war« ended at USD 22,680.00 (€ 20,445.33), 26% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Syed Haider Raza achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Tapovan in March 2018 with an auction result of USD 4,452,500.00 (€ 3,614,042.21).

Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Syed Haider Raza wurde im März letzten Jahres in der Auktion South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art Online bei Christies in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 22.680,00 (€ 20.445,33) und damit 26% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Syed Haider Raza erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Tapovan im März 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 4.452.500,00 (€ 3.614.042,21).
