In March last year Christies in New York held the auction South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art Including Works from the Collection of Mahinder and Sharad Tak, which included the work Petite Lumiére by Syed Haider Raza. The »bidding war« ended at USD 390,600.00 (€ 352,113.95), 30% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Syed Haider Raza achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Tapovan in March 2018 with an auction result of USD 4,452,500.00 (€ 3,614,042.21).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 30 % übertroffen
Im März letzten Jahres führte Christies in New York die Auktion South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art Including Works from the Collection of Mahinder and Sharad Tak durch, in der auch die Arbeit Petite Lumiére von Syed Haider Raza zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 390.600,00 (€ 352.113,95) und damit 30% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Syed Haider Raza erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Tapovan im März 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 4.452.500,00 (€ 3.614.042,21).
