It achieved a price of USD 1,033,200.00 (€ 931,398.18), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 72%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Syed Haider Raza - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Tapovan, which sold at auction in March 2018 for USD 4,452,500.00 (€ 3,614,042.21).

Die Arbeit Prakrti (Cosmogony) von Syed Haider Raza kam im März letzten Jahres bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 1.033.200,00 (€ 931.398,18) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 72%. Für andere Arbeiten von Syed Haider Raza mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Tapovan beobachtet, die im März 2018 für USD 4.452.500,00 (€ 3.614.042,21) versteigert wurde.
