This artwork by Syed Haider Raza achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in March last year. In the South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art Online auction, the work Bindu sold for USD 47,880.00 (€ 43,162.35) - well above the upper estimate of USD 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Syed Haider Raza achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Tapovan in March 2018 with an auction result of USD 4,452,500.00 (€ 3,614,042.21).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Syed Haider Raza erzielte im März letzten Jahres bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art Online wurde die Arbeit Bindu für USD 47.880,00 (€ 43.162,35) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 20.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Syed Haider Raza erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Tapovan im März 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 4.452.500,00 (€ 3.614.042,21).
