Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2021 Sothebys in London held the auction Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art, which included the work Eglise by Syed Haider Raza. The price achieved of GBP 201,600.00 (€ 238,841.55) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 180,000.00 – 250,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Syed Haider Raza achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Tapovan in March 2018 with an auction result of USD 4,452,500.00 (€ 3,614,042.21).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2021 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Eglise von Syed Haider Raza zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 201.600,00 (€ 238.841,55) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 180.000,00 – 250.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Syed Haider Raza erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Tapovan im März 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 4.452.500,00 (€ 3.614.042,21).
