A top price for Saul Leiter - as previously expected
The work Snow by Saul Leiter was auctioned at Phillips in London in May 2021. The price achieved of GBP 18,900.00 (€ 21,990.59) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Snow is the most expensive artwork by Saul Leiter that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Die Arbeit Snow von Saul Leiter kam im Mai 2021 bei Phillips in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 18.900,00 (€ 21.990,59) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 15.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Snow das teuerste Kunstwerk von Saul Leiter, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
