Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Through Boards, 1957 by Saul Leiter was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in June this year. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 9,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 9,450.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Saul Leiter - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Snow, which sold at auction in May 2021 for GBP 18,900.00 (€ 21,990.59).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Through Boards, 1957 von Saul Leiter kam im Juni diesen Jahres bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 9.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 9.450,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Saul Leiter mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Snow beobachtet, die im Mai 2021 für GBP 18.900,00 (€ 21.990,59) versteigert wurde.
