In November 2010 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale), which included the work Mushroom Cloud #1008 Encelade; & Metaphor of Symbiosis: Cluster Lily with VLA by Satoshi Furui. The result of HKD 150,000.00 (€ 14,820.50) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 150,000.00 – 200,000.00. Admittedly, works by Satoshi Furui have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Mushroom Cloud #02, #04, #16 in May 2007 with an auction result of HKD 720,000.00 (€ 68,558.69).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im November 2010 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) durch, in der auch die Arbeit Mushroom Cloud #1008 Encelade; & Metaphor of Symbiosis: Cluster Lily with VLA von Satoshi Furui zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von HKD 150.000,00 (€ 14.820,50) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 150.000,00 – 200.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Satoshi Furui auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Mushroom Cloud #02, #04, #16 im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 720.000,00 (€ 68.558,69).
