It achieved a price of HKD 108,000.00 (€ 10,847.97), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 54%. Admittedly, works by Satoshi Furui have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Mushroom Cloud #02, #04, #16 in May 2007 with an auction result of HKD 720,000.00 (€ 68,558.69).

Die Arbeit Mushroom Cloud #1005 Teapot Met von Satoshi Furui wurde im Mai 2006 in der Auktion Asian Contemporary Art bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 108.000,00 (€ 10.847,97) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 54%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Satoshi Furui auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Mushroom Cloud #02, #04, #16 im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 720.000,00 (€ 68.558,69).
